Last week I was lucky enough to attend UX London. I met fantastic people, listened to inspirational speakers and participated in some exceptional workshops.

The first day was filled with fantastic presentations taken by some of the industries biggest names. All speakers were brilliant, I learnt heaps now have a huge list of books to read!

Me at a UX London workshop taken by Dan Lockton!
The next two days I attended workshops where we worked in groups to produce mini projects and solve problems. My favourite workshop was 'Good design faster' taken by Leah Buley. We used sketching techniques to produce rapid and fleixble designs recreating the high-energy experience of working in the 'Adaptive Path' design studio. This workshop was extremely interesting and beneficial to my work and also lots of fun!
Fingers crossed I'll get to go again next year!

A lot of people I know don't really know much or care about the iPad. They just don't get it. Well, allow me to explain...
Confusion is, what does it do? It doesn't do anything new?! It doesn't make phone calls, it's too big to carry around, I can't strap it on my arm to go jogging.
Well what it will do is change things.
It's the move form keyboard and mouse to touchscreen thats a massive deal.

When you're chilling at home, you don't need to use the pc to check a webpage or your emails, or even an annoying hot noisy laptop with a stupid trackpad.
Instead you have a small LCD pad that you can just... poke.
A similar device from any other company would probably have been a massive fail if it came out first, but apple are known to provide cool quality innovations that blow people away. As soon as people see them in action, they'll want one.
I have to mention how excited I am to see the awesome games people come up with on a huge 9inch touchscreen interface!
And to those who complain about the lack of a full type of OS X or something, well that's a whole new device altogether really. The things that are done on a proper OS, for example, when I'm developing a website, wouldn't be suited to a touch screen interface like the iPad, not yet anyway....
Being a web design and software development company I thought it was worth commenting on what will be a massive change to the way people use computers and the web!
And that's it from me! Back to work.
James.

The Best Movies (of the 80s)
It started as a bit of a challenge - come up with 30 of the best, iconic, favourite movies from 1980 - 1989. In the end, it came down to the following fabulous movies - the only problem is - we've now got to find time to watch them... We'll have to institute an EagleBear filmfest. :-)
